Manager Dave Jones has admitted that he is interested in keeping Marshall at the club as goalkeeping cover, and according to reports he is set to speak to blues boss Joe Royle about extending the deal sometime this week.

Since joining Wolves on a loan spell, Marshall has appeared in just one senior apperance for the club, which was the midweek thrashing from a very inexperienced Arsenal side where Andy let in five goals.

The former Norwich and England under 21 goalkeeper was handed a free transfer at the end of last term by Town boss Joe Royle and has not even appeared on the bench for the club this season due to being behind both new number one Kelvin Davis and academy youngster Lewis Price in the pecking order.

Marshall joined Wolves on a months loan in November after Wolves were suffering a keeper crisis with regular number one Matt Murray currentley sidelined with a long term injury that leaves just backup Michael Oakes avaliable for the Midlands club.

However should Wolves boss Dave Jones want to extend the loan of Marshall, he will need to get special permission from the English Football Association due to the transfer window currentley being closed until next January, where its expected Wolves will move for another goalkeeper on a full time move.
