Wolves Post-match reaction:

Royle proud of his players
Royle told the club website: "I'm proud of all the players and thought we were magnificent.

"I could only see Wolves causing us problems from set-pieces and we passed them to death for long periods.

"It was a terrific performance from us but we lacked the cutting edge and it was a display reminiscent of us before Alan Lee arrived when we played well, had bags of possession but no one ther to put the chances away."

Ricardo Fuller who had been signed up on loan as a replacement for the injured Lee, spent the match on the sidelines after discovering he could not play without a new work permit.

Despite accepting that the penalty decision was correct, Joe was critical of the referee Andy Woolmer for not protecting his players:

"The referee made some strange decisions to say the least and why he asked me to calm Darren Currie down at half-time when the lad has been on the end of some bad tackles, i've no idea."

Wolves Manager Glenn Hoddle was satisfied with the way his side coped with Ipswich's passing game telling their club website:

"It was a hard-fought win- Ipswich threw lots of balls into the box but we battled through.

"They pass the ball well but did not get in behind us."

Defeat leaves Town eight points off the play-off places.
