Town face West Ham in the second leg of their Championship Play-Off semi-final at Portman Road on Wednesday with the scores tied after a 2-2 draw at Upton Park where Etherington recieved some battering treatment from the blues back line.

Speaking after the game the Dutch defender said: "Etherington is the danger man for them. At half-time, the manager told me to stop him from crossing the ball and to stop him from playing and I think I did quite well.

"Anything was allowed if it meant stopping him. Sometimes you go to the edge and sometimes you go over the edge, but that's football. You can go as far as the referee allows you to."
