Haynes: Derby hero
18 year old Danny Haynes scored the dramatic last-gasp winner in the East Anglian Derby on Sunday but could miss out on Town's next game against Burnley this Saturday, with an ankle injury.

As Haynes burst through on Sunday he received a heavy challenge as he went to shoot and landed heavily on his ankle. He nearly didnt get the chance to score the dramatic winner, as Royle was about to take him off, as he was struggling with the injury!

Danny told the club site that the pain momentarily subsided as he raced away to the Town fans to celebrate the winner: "I've had the scans and the ankle isn't broken, but there is the possibility that there might be ligament damage.

"I've got to wear a support for a few days and then the physio team will have a look at it again on Wednesday.

"I felt it at first when their defender came across to make a challenge as I went to have a shot. It was painful, although it didn't hurt as much when I scored and went to celebrate!" he said.

Dave Williams, the club physio, says he expects to be able to reate Danny's chances for the weekend after another 48hours.

Gavin Williams, signed from West Ham after a successful loan spell, is another that is a doubt ahead of Saturdays match at Portman Road.

Williams was doubtful for the Norwich match, with a jarred knee but it was another injured which required him to make way for Danny Haynes in the first half of Sunday's derby match.

Dave Williams told the club site: "Unfortunately Gavin has aggravated his knee injury, but the ankle forced him off against Norwich as well.

"It's very swollen, quite bad actually, and he's looking doubtful for the Burnley game."

On the plus side of the injury news at Portman Road is the return to training of summer signing Sam Parkin. Parkin broke his ankle and is pencilling in late Febuary as a possible return date to first-team action.
