The Product of the ITFC Academy has in recent weeks come into his own, and despite the loss of Alan Mahon through injury, although a different style of player, Westlake has proven to be a more than adequate replacement for the Republic of Ireland Star.

Westlake has been at Town since he was just nine years old, and made his first league start for Town against West Ham United at Portman Road in August, and has so far scored twice in 20 matches for the club.

Speaking of the News, Town manager Joe Royle said: "Westy has been fantastic for us since he came in for Alan and that is no mean feat considering how popular Alan is here, He gets around the pitch well and has already shown that he can score goals. He is another big plus for the Academy here."
