Speaking to the Official Club Website, Keane said: "I'm looking at getting six or seven friendlies in our pre-season schedule and we're looking at taking the players to a training camp as well.
"The players will have a long, hard season in front of them and it's important that our preparation is right.
"We need them peaking for the start of the season but it's also important that we get through the summer with no real injury problems."
