Town Facing Goalkeeper Crisis

With Andy Marshall currentley on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers, and not being reconsidered for a recall from his loan spell, and normal reserve keeper Lewis Price, along with understudy Shane Supple ruled out through injury, the blues are short on backup for Number One Kelvin Davis.

The Fifth choice keeper at Portman Road would be 18 year old Scott Peat, who although on Town's books, is not really considered good enough to make it to first team level, which explains why he is behind 16 year old Shane Supple in the pecking order.

Speaking of the Crisis, Royle admits he would very much like to get a keeper in on loan: "Scott would ordinarily be behind Lewis and Shane but as both are injured he has an outside chance of making it but it would be a big step for him." he told the East Anglian Daily Times

"Lewis could be out for between six to nine weeks and Shane picked up an injury last week. I have spoken with Malcolm Webster and Colin Suggett and we have identified someone we want to bring in, and something may happen this week.

"It would be pointless for Andy to come back as he has a good chance to further his career by staying with Wolves. Nothing has been finalised with Andy as yet as Wolves have to sort one or two things out their end."
