John Toshack reserved all the praise after Wales's 1-0 defeat in Limassol for 21 year old Town 'Keeper Lewis Price:

"Lewis was outstanding in goal and we could easily have conceded four or five without his saves. He was our only player. It was a poor performance by the whole team apart from Lewis."

The only time Price was beaten in the friendly was from the spot, after Chrysis Michael converted a 42 minute spot-kick.

New loan signing Gavin Williams picked up his second cap with a second-half substitute appearance.

The only other Town player in International action was young Canadian Jamie Peters, who also made a substitute appearance, for Canada in their 1-0 victory over Luxembourg. Peters was a late addition to ex-Town player Frank Yallop's squad and picked up his 12th senior cap.
