Strong Reserve Side in Action

The biggest news is perhaps that John McGreal looks set to continue his road to fitness with the aim of coming through the game unscathed so he is in contention for a start in the senior sides game at Pride Park against Derby at the weekend.

With Aidan Collins, Drissa Diallo, Chris Makin and Gerard Nash currently ruled out through injury, and Richard Naylor, Town's longest serving player, suspended, Town are short on cover in central defence and will be hoping former Tranmere man McGreal can come through unscathed.

Also returning for tonights game against the club from the City Ground, are Martijn Reuser, who is on the road to recovering from a groin injury, Darren Bent from a knee ligament problem and Alun Armstrong who missed last weekends squad for the home game against Gillingham due to picking up a thigh injury.

Full Reserves Squad: Lewis Price, Michael Synnott, Scott Barron, Antonio Murray, John McGreal, Scott Mitchell, Martijn Reuser, Matt Bloomfield, Alun Armstrong, Dean Bowditch, Darren Bent, Nabil Abidallah, Shane Supple, Daniel Flack, Liam Craig, Liam Manning, Adem Atay
