With the former England Under 21 international certain not to be offered a new contract at Leicester when the current one expires at the end of the season, Scowcroft knows that he has to impress Town boss Joe Royle until the end of the season to win himself a contract at Town.

Since arriving on loan from Leicester City, Scowcroft has made three starts and has came off the bench three times, but will be wanting to find the net soon, as he has not scored since joining the club on loan.

Speaking to the Evening Star, the Bury St Edmunds born player said: "I have not got a clue what the future is. I just have to focus on the next few weeks coming and take it from there.

"The next two months are massively important. But not only for me, it is a big stage in players' careers for everyone at the club.

"We are now entering the final seven games and Sunderland, Wigan and us have everything to play for. No one has done anything to guarantee anything.

"I'm sure supporters up and down the land are getting twitchy about their team, that is what supporting a team is all about. But the medals are given out in May, not March."
