Richards: I have to be Patient

Richards has been on the bench for much of the season with Fabian Wilnis being moved to left back and former Burnley centre back Drissa Diallo slotting in at right back.

However with Diallo not having one of his best peformances against Crewe at the weekend, Richards came on for Diallo at half time at left back with Wilnis moving to right back, but the Town academy product knows it won't be easy to be reguarly involved when the club are playing so well.

"It has been quite frustrating for me because every player wants to be out on the pitch." Town's number three told the Official Club Website.

"But the team have been playing well, the defence has been looking strong so there has been little reason to change things around. It means I have to be patient and just continue to work hard in training and play well in the reserves and wait until my chance comes along.

"It's obviously not the same playing in the reserves as it is in League games but I have still enjoyed it. It's important to keep my match fitness ticking over and I've got to play well in the reserves to push my case for a return to the first-team."
