The son of former Town goalkeeping coach Andy Rhodes, who left Portman Road at the end of July, added to his brace against Stockport in the Carling Cup in midweek and goal against Southend on the opening day of the season with second half strikes on 49 and 68 minutes to fire the Terriers to all 3 points.

Rhodes wasn't the only former Town player to find the scoresheet this weekend, with Richard Logan hitting an equaliser for Exeter to secure a 1-1 draw against managerless local rivals Norwich City.

Kevin Lisbie was unable to perform the goalscoring act which he carried out against the Canaries last weekend, the striker on loan at Colchester from Town failed to find the net in Colchester's 2-1 win over Yeovil and was substituted with 20 minutes remaining.

Fellow former Town striker Sam Parkin's last gasp penalty earned 10-man Walsall a point from a 2-2 draw with Southend, after the Essex side took the lead 10 minutes prior with a strike from Dougie Freedman.
