Westy Back!
Both midfielders have been sidelined with ankle injuries but played a half each in the Reserves' 3-0 win over Norwich earlier in the week.

Royle still thinks both are too short of match fitness to start on Saturday, however and has said that he will use them from the bench: "Owen and Westy need games because they have not played recently and the best they can hope for is a place on the bench against QPR.

Kevin Horlock and Adam Proudlock will not make the squad however, with knee injuries. Horlock is deemed to have largely got over his problem but the management have decided not to take the chance in risking him.

Town adopted a 4-3-3 formation in the 1-1 draw with Wolves at Portman Road last week and Royle is happy that the team is progressing, he said: "I can see improvements in us and I was pleased last week against one of the strongest sides in the division. I would put Wolves up there with the sides just behind Reading."

Whether Joe decides to go with 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2, with Currie in a more usual midfield role remains to be seen. Richards is more likely to fill a midfield berth than a defensive one, with Wilnis expected to begin filling in at left-back after some impressive displays of late.

When Town last met QPR, the second game into the season, they lost 2-1. Ian Holloway will be without influential captain Kevin Gallen and midfielder Tommy Doherty.

George Santos, the former Ipswich defender is likely to shake off a shoulder injury in time to face his former club.

With only two senior strikers fit at the club, Ipswich will start with Forster and Bowditch leading the line, with youngster Billy Clarke likely to retain his position on the bench.

Joe will choose his starting side from: Price, Supple, Wilnis, Sito, Richards, Naylor, De Vos, Magilton, Juan, Williams, Currie, Westlake, Garvan, Forster, Bowditch, Clarke
