In a match played at Aldershot Towns ground on Monday night, the reserves lost 2-1 to Chelsea, after a late winner gave Chelsea the points.

In the final minute of the game Joe Keenan sealed victory for Stamford Bridges second-string. Before that Town had looked the better of the sides in the first-half and gone in ahead after former Sheffield Wednesday striker Adam Proudlock had given them the advantage after a defensive error.

However, two second-half goals gave Chelsea the victory, with their first goal coming from Phil Younghusband.

Ian Westlake and Gerrard Nash both appeared to get some valuable match fitness under their belts in their quest for full fitness.
