Price Happy With Peformance

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Lewis Price has admitted he felt he played well in Town's 2-0 defeat to AaB Aalborg on Friday Evening.

Price, who will be 20 next week, took his place in the Ipswich Town goal after nornal number one keeper Kelvin Davis pulled out of the pre-match warm-up with back spasms

Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times the Welsh keeper said: “I'm glad that the Gaffer has the confidence to put me in like that and it would be great to play on Tuesday but Kelvin should be okay by then. He had stiffness in his back and didn't feel right during the warm-up so decided not to take any chances.

It was a nice surprise for me if these things can be nice. Funnily enough. I felt I played better in this game than in the clean sheet on Tuesday, yet I conceded two goals.

“There was not much I could do about either goal and, even though I went the right way for the penalty and almost got it, he had hit it well.”

Price has so far made one senior competitive start for the blues, coming against Gillingham away from home last season in Nationwide League Division One.
