Pompey At Home in FA Cup

Last updated : 04 December 2005 By Russell Claydon
Portsmouth, currently managerless, are expected to re-appoint former boss Harry Redknapp this week, after he sensationally walked out on south-coast rivals Southampton on Saturday.

Town have not had much success in the FA Cup in recent seasons and went out last season to Bolton at Portman Road in the third round. They'll be looking to get a premiership scalp again this time around though.

The draw has pitted many premiership clubs against non-league opposition this year, such as Burton/Burscough v Man Utd.  Rivals Norwich, like Town, will entertain Premiership opposition, in the face of West Ham.  The draw for the Third Round is:

WBA v Reading
Fulham v Leyton Orient
Brighton v Coventry
Wolves v Plymouth
Port Vale/Bristol R v Boston/Doncaster
Sheff Wed v Charlton
Torquay v Birmingham
Man City v Scunthorpe
Newcastle v Mansfield
Luton v Liverpool
Preston v Crewe
Stoke v Tamworth
Derby v Burnley
Southampton v MK Dons
Blackburn v QPR
Arsenal v Cardiff
Stockport v Oldham/Brentford
Norwich v West Ham
Ipswich v Portsmouth
Wigan v Leeds
Sunderland v Woking/Northwich V
Chelsea v Huddersfield
Cheltenham/Oxford v Chester
Leicester v Tottenham
Watford v Bolton
Sheff Utd v Colchester
Nuneaton/Histon v Middlesbro
Hull v Aston Villa
Barnsley/Bradford v Walsall
Burton/Burscough v Man Utd
Crystal Palace v Stevenage/Northampton
Millwall v Everton
