The former Celta Vigo and Spanish Under 21 international player first picked up a hamstring problem and then a groin problem and as a result has not had any action at all during the last two months.

However he should be fit for Town's reserve clash next week subject to no reaction to the treatment he is recieving, and Town's second top goalscorer admits his injury problems have been frustrationg.

“It has been very frustrating, working in the gym and in the pool on my own. But hopefully I am getting somewhere now and if there are no problems in the next few days, I hope to start training with the first-team again next week." he told the Official Club Website.

“I don’t know about playing for the reserves, yet. It will be down to how it goes over the next few days but I want to get back as soon as I can and help the team in the Play-Offs, if we get there.”
