Naylor: Suspended
Naylor picked up his fifth yellow card in the boxing day defeat to Crystal Palace and the Football Association have confirmed that the ban will come into force for the trip to Stoke on Monday 2nd January 2005.

Usually the ban would come into play in the match immediately following the fifth yellow card but due to a busy Christmas period, the ban was not processed in time to prevent Naylor from lining up at the KC Stadium on Wednesday night.

The suspension will cause Royle furhter headaches, with Naylor one of only a couple of possible striking options left available to him, with the news of Nicky Forster's injury meaning there are now no fit senior strikers left at the club, apart from out of favour Dean Bowditch.
