The blues defender played on Tuesday with a broken toe and requied to injections before the game to enable him to play. However yesterday Naylor was in severe pain and Town boss Joe Royle is hoping that he can give him time to recover at the weekend by bringing in Drissa Diallo or John McGreal should they recover from injuries in time.

Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times of Naylor's peformance on Tuesday, Royle admitted: "Richard was fantastic again. He is a loyal lad who loves this club. We know we can always call on him either as a centre-half or centre-forward."

Naylor is currentley Town's longest serving player at the club.
