Mowbray: No Contact Over Riordan

22 Year Old Striker Riordan was reported to be a target of Town boss Joe Royle to replace Darren Bent who looks almost certain to move on to pastures new in the Summer after handing in a transfer request this week.

However Hibs boss Mowbray says that there has been no talks between the two clubs over the chance of the move taking place: "Joe has never picked the phone up and asked about any of our players.

"I know their scout has been at a few of our games because I know him personally and, having spoken to him after those matches, I think I would have known if any interest was there."

Meanwhile Watford striker Heidar Helguson is said to be another striker on Royle's wish list, but Sheffield United, Reading, Stoke, West Ham and Leeds are all said to be keen on securing the services of the Icelandic star alongside Town.
