The two clubs meet at Portman Road on December 21st at Portman Road in a match which Town go into a point behind Wigan in the table, and the winners will have the honour of being top at Christmas.

Speaking to the Official Club Website the Republic of Ireland attacking midfielder said: "With both of us going well at the moment, it's going to be a massive match. It's the biggest game of the season in the Championship so far and whoever wins will be top of the table at Christmas.

"We know Ipswich are flying at the moment and Joe Royle has a fantastic ability to get the best out of his players so it's going to be a tough game for us. But it will be a tough game for Ipswich as well.

"Both clubs believe they have what it takes to win promotion and if I had my way, we'd both go up. In an idea world I'd like to see Ipswich win automatic promotion and finish second in the table - behind us of course."
