Magilton HAS Signed New Deal

Earlier today an article in the Belfast Telegraph claimed that the former Northern Ireland International had not made his mind up about deciding to stay at the club, however Magilton has now confirmed that he will very much be staying at Portman Road.

Speaking to the Official Club Website, the former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder said: "I've read that I couldn't understand why the Club had said I'd signed when I hadn't and that indeed, I might not sign at all.

"That's rubbish to say I might not sign. I told the manager at the start of the week that I would be staying and did an interview on Wednesday with the Club's TV channel, Ipswich World, saying that I had agreed to sign a new contract and would be signing in the next day or so.

"I hadn't signed at that time. The Club never said I did. They said I had agreed to sign, which I had.

"At that stage there were a couple of minor details that had to be cleared that were never going to be a problem and now there can be no argument, I've signed in big, bold letters!

"I wouldn't have turned up for training this week if I wasn't going to stay here. I could have got injured and been left without a club. There has been trust on both my part and the Club's. I should think the fans are a bit bored of the whole thing now!"
