Lee-ding the line!

Since his £100,000 move from Cardiff in January, which could rise to £150,000, Alan Lee has started 3 games for Town and scored 2 goals.

He was named in the Football League's Championship Team of The Week for his performance at Carrow Road on Sunday. The capped Rpublic of Ireland International didn't get on the score sheet but caused the Norwich backline endless problems and it was from his header back across goal that Danny Haynes' hand/head-cum-Doherty's-boot gave Town the winner.

With new management at the helm of the Republic of Ireland in Steve Stuanton and former Ipswich boos, Sir Bobby Robson, Lee may feel that a good run of form could reignite his international career.

In ITFM's player of the month feature for January, Paul Whyatt picked Alan Lee as our choice and he looks to have continued this impressive form into February.

In other news, Town have put in an official request to credit Ipswich's derby winner to 18 year old Danny Haynes.  Should it be granted, the youngster will become the only Ipswich player to have scored in three games against the Canaries in a season, having scored against them for the U18's and Reserve sides already this season.

The club are expecting to hear back either later today or early tomorrow. ITFM will keep you posted.
