Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell has ruled out the possibility of letting any of his first-team squad out on loan.The likes of defensive duo Jamie Peters and Tommy Smith have found themselves on the fringes, despite playing over 50 games between them this season.
But Jewell is keen to keep as much depth in his squad as possible.
"I wouldn't be in a rush to let anyone go unless it really suited us, but I can't see that happening," he told BBC Radio Suffolk.
"Someone came in for Tommy about three weeks ago and he wanted to stay and fight for his place.
"Our remit when we got here was to stay in this division and we've got to make sure we do that.

"And once we've done that we can relax and maybe take more of a long-term view."
The return from injury of midfielders David Norris and Luca Civelli has bolstered Jewell's options for the business end of the season.
But the Town manager said he tried to bring in two new loan signings last week and will continue to attempt to add to his squad.
"The couple of players we targeted were both out of their first team at Premier League clubs," he said.
"They wanted to stay and fight for their place, which I understand, but we'll never stop trying to add to the squad."
