In demand forward Darren Bent was on the scoresheet again for England Under 21's as they beat Austria 2-0 in Krems on Friday. The Town striker scored in the closing minutes after coming on as sub for Jon Stead. Carlton Cole scored the opening goal for Peter Taylor's men.

Midfielder Ian Westlake was named in the England Under 21 squad to face Austria, but was not included on the bench for the game.

Second choice keeper Lewis Price played the full 90 minutes in Wales Under 21's clash with Azerbaijan in Baku where the visting site 1-0 despite being reduced to ten men. Matt Crowell scored the goal for the Welsh.

Vice Captain Jason De Vos was also in action for his native Canada. Town's number four headed in Iain Hume's free kick against Honduras after 82 minutes, but with just two minutes to go Canada conceded a penalty that was converted by Amado Gulevara to leave the final score 1-1.

Academy Under 17 star Darryl Knights was also in action this weekend, and was part of the England side that beat Italy, Russia and Portugal to claim the title of 2004 Pepsi Tournament Champions with Italy being runners up.
