Following the injury to Billy Clarke in the Reserve game against Portsmouth in mid-week, where he dislocated his elbow and will be out for six weeks, Haynes looks the most likely to partner Forster at Hillsborough.

Dean McDonald has been recalled from his loan spell at Hartlepool but will not return until after their game with Walsall this weekend.

Richard Naylor is very unlikely to start as a striker, with Willie Donachie, replacing Joe Rolye for the pre-match press conference, outlining that he is still only seen as an emergency striker.

Dean Bowditch has recovered sufficiently from an achilles injury that kept him out of the QPR match in time to make the squad. However, he is not expected to be used from the start and Danny Haynes will be given his full debut, after impressing the coaching staff in training this week.

Adam Proudlock cannot face his old club under the agreement of his loan deal but the striker is currently suffering from an injury in any case.

In midfield, Kevin Horlock yet again misses out with his knee injury, which is more serious than was thought last week and Town physio Dave Williams has ruled him out initially for two weeks but warned he could also miss the hectic Christmas period.

Gavin Williams does make the squad, however, after recovering from a dead leg sustained against QPR and will retain his place on the right. Should Jim Magilton play a part against his former club, the Blues skipper will make his 300th appearance for Town. Another milestone could see Matt Richards make his 100th appearance.

In recent games Darren Currie has been used from the bench in away fixtures and that is expected to continue at Hillsborough.

In defence Town have no new injury worries and are expected to line up with a four conprising of; Sito, Naylor, De Vos and Wilnis.

Former Town player, Drissa Diallo, has made the Sheffield Wednesday squad after recovering from a hamstring injury but is not expected to start.

Midfielder Glenn Whelan returns after a back injury and Chris Brunt could take the place of Burton O'Brien. John Hills is available after a knee operation.

Nicky Weaver, the former England squad goalkeeper is currently on loan at Hillsborough and will face his former boss Joe Royle.

The sides last met in the league on the 20th of August at Portman Road, will Town prevailing 2-1.
