Lee also making good progress
Danny fell badly on his ankle in the famous victory over Norwich at Carrow Road earlier in the month and is said to be ahead of schedule with his recovery, even giving him the chance of playing on Saturday.

Town boss Joe Royle, speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times, said: “Danny has done some training and he has a chance of being fit for the home game against Leicester on Saturday.

“There's no doubt that young blood heals quicker and his progress is good news. We are not getting carried away, but the signs are encouraging. Danny has been able to do more than we expected.”

Alan Lee is another striker ahead of schedule on his comeback trail from his hamstring tear, sustained at Gresty Road. Lee is hopeful of making the trip to Preston in a weeks time.

The news is not so good with £450,000 signing Sam Parkin, however, the former Swindon favourite has suffered a slight setback from his broken ankle rehabilitation and did not make the reserve game last night that he had pencilled in. The setback is not thought to be serious though.
