Finidi Joins Mallorca On Months Trial

The Nigerian joined Town in the summer of 2001 for £3.1M from Real Betis, but despite the high profile signing, Finidi rarely impressed during his time at Portman Road, and he was released and his contract was settled during the summer of 2003.

The 32 year old cannot sign for the Spanish club until the transfer window re-opens in January, however until then Finidi will be on trial with a view to a permenant move if desired when the windoiw opens.

Speaking to the Official Real Mallorca website, an upbeat Finidi commented: "It's great to be back at Mallorca again. I am mentally prepared to regain my fitness as soon as possible."

Real are currently laying in 17th position in La Liga and are just two points ahead of the relegation zone and will be hoping that the arrival of former Nigerian star George will lift their fortunes.
