The Dutchman who was signed by George Burley in 1998 for £200,000 is out of contract at the end of the month but has this week told boss Joe Royle that he will be signing a new deal at the club and is not looking to move elsewhere.

Meanwhile Chris Makin is likely to sign a new deal within the next few days, an outcome over Jim Magilton's contract is likely to be known soon whilst Town's longest serving player Richard Naylor also looks likely to commit his future to the club.
