East Anglian Derby: Part 2 live on Sky

It is the second time the fixture details have been changed. Orginially set for a traditional 3pm kick-off on the Saturday, local Police moved the game back to the Sunday with a noon kick-off.

However, the broadcasting by Sky TV will course more disruption to fans attending the match, with an early attendance than anticipated.

On the 2nd October 2005 Man City kicked off at home to Everton at 11.15am, the earliest ever game to be screened by Sky.

To supporters without SKY installed in their homes, the earlier kick-off may mean that traditional Sunday Public House opening times prevent them from seeing the first-half. However, the Governments controversial new licensing laws, which come into effect this month, may prevent this problem.

It is understood that the club are in discussions about opeining the bars at Portman Road, as has happened in previous seasons. The likelyhood of a big screen inside the ground, however, looks remote.

The news comes on the day that SKY lost its rights to broadcast exclusive live football from 2007.  This leaves it feasible for live Premiership football and all internationals to return to terrestrial television.
