Collins Signs Three Year Deal

The product of the Ipswich Town Academy recentley turned 17 years old, the minimum age for a player to sign a professional contract with the club, and along with Gerard Nash, has been tipped as the future of Ipswich Town's central defence.

Collins made his debut for the club at the end of last season against George Burley's Derby County aged just 16 in the Nationwide First Division, but is currentley suffering with an ankle injury which he picked up in a reserves game recentley.

Speaking of the news to the Official Club Website, Town manager Joe Royle said: "Aidan is another big tick for the Academy and I'm sure he will go on to enjoy a good career in the game. With Aidan and Gerard Nash at the Club, the future looks bright in the central defensive positions here."
