Ambrose, who scored a brilliant third goal for Town in the 3-1 win over the Seagulls at Portman Road on Tuesday night , limped out of the game fifteen minutes into the second half and was replaced by Finidi George.

"Darren has taken a knock on his foot and is a concern for Saturday's match with Derby," said boss George Burley.

"It looks to be 50/50 at the moment if he will be ready in time.

"Tommy Miller is another we have to keep an eye on. He was on the bench against Brighton but is carrying a virus. Hopefully it will settle down in time for the weekend."
