Bradford 0-1 Town : Reaction

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle was pleased that his side beat a very poor Bradford side, but admitted that his side made heavy work of the win : "We were angry and a bit frustrated at the end because we made hard work of our win.

"It was a 1-0 hammering for most of the game. We can defend and we can pass the ball, but we just need to find that cutting edge. We missed five or six open goals and Bradford only got a boost from our penalty miss. Our keeper Kelvin Davis did not have too many saves to make and I was pleased with our first clean sheet of the season.

"If we could have scored a second goal we would have played out the game, but we handled the pressure well at the end. We are improving as a team and our three loan players Shefki Kuqi, Alan Mahon and Chris Bart-Williams have made a big difference."

Meanwhile Bradford Boss Nicky Law called for his team to keep believing in themselves: "We have got to stay together and the players have got to take heart in their performance and the way they finished the game. They are not always going to come up against a team of Ipswich's quality."

"With the injuries we have got we need to look seriously at the possibility of taking players on loan. The squad is getting smaller and smaller."
