Town In Europe - A Complete Record

Ipswich have qualified for European Competition on Twelve occasions, the first was after winning the English League Championship in the 1961/1962 season.

The most successful European Campaign was in 1980-81, under the command of Sir Bobby Robson when the Club won the UEFA Cup 5-4 on aggregate against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

The last occasion that Town qualified for Europe was the 2002/2003 season through the fair play league, despite the side having been relegated from the Premiership at the end of the previous season. On this occasion Town were elminated by Slovan Liberec after a penalty shoot out away from home.

To this day, Town have never lost at home in Europe in 31 matches at Portman Road, including those against the likes of AC Milan, Real Madrid, Barcleona and Inter Milan..
