Craig Westcarr opened the scoring for Kettering on the half hour mark after getting away from Alex Bruce and firing a finish from 15 yards out into the back of the net.

Jim Magilton made six changes at the interval, and was rewarded when 10 minutes into the second half former Cork City midfielder George O'Callaghan equalised for the blues by slotting the ball in at the second attempt.

Billy Clarke put the blues ahead with 20 minutes remaining before setting up fellow Irishman Michael Synnott to complete the scoring for the blues and secure a 3-1 victory.

Among the crowd was Pablo Counago, who will complete his move to the Blues tommorow on a free transfer.
