Happy New Year to All our Readers

With the January transfer window now open, and Town manager Jim Magilton appointing former Swindon Town manager John Gorman as his assistant, it promises to be an interesting month.

The decision to appoint Gorman serves as a vote of confidence in manager Jim Magilton's position, and despite rumours of possible discontent, it would be extremely surprising if a change of manager now happened before the end of the season.

So we would call for our visitors to get behind the lads, and offer them the full support in a season which will hopefully end in promotion to the Premier League, so the club can return back to where it belongs.

From Monday and for the next two weeks ITFM will be showcasing some of the features on the website you may not have seen before. These range from historical league tables, league, team, and player stats, historical features, season records, and much more.

Whilst other Ipswich websites may wish to charge for similar features that will be showcased next week we will always continue to make our content free and accessible for all, so why pay when you don't have to? Put away your credit card, and excercise your right to support the club you love online without any subscription fees.

We hope everyone had a great Christmas, and wish everyone all the best in 2009 and thank you for your continued support in our website.

Kind Regards,

John Phillips
