Magilton Admits Miracle Needed

With five games remaining, Town are now seven points behind sixth placed Cardiff City, who have three games in hand, and are ten points behind fifth place Burnley who have played the same number of games as Town.

Speaking to the Official Club Website, Town boss Magilton said: "It will need a miracle now for us to get in the Play-Offs.

"We wanted to be in the mix with five games to go but that doesn't look like being the case now and that's very disappointing but I won't allow the season to drift away.

"Every fan of this Football Club deserves 100 per cent from every player that pulls on the blue and white shirt and they will get that until the last ball has been kicked.

"It's my job to make sure that happens and I will. If a player doesn't give his all, then I will put in another who will but no one is more disappointed than the players that we are not higher up the table.

"We have been good away from home this season but today we never matched that level. The first goal was poor, we know the lad Halford has a decent strike on him but we didn't close him down and he made us pay. The second goal was just poor defending all round.

"We didn't get enough ball into our front players and although we were better in the second-half and played with a bit more pride, we lacked that cutting edge again."
