Jim: Town Deserved Derby Win

Norwich scored first through on-loan Dave Mooney before Alan Quinn sent Town into the break level. A peanlty from Giovani Dos Santos, and a last minute strike from sub Jon Stead put Town 3-1 ahead before Norwich scored an injury time penalty through Sammy Clingan in a frantic finish.

Speaking to the Official Club Website, Town boss Jim Magilton admitted: "I thought we deserved the win, especially after a terrific second-half performance.

"We gave away a poor goal and made it difficult for ourselves again but the players responded magnificently. It was a terrific goal from Quinny and then we were the better side in the second-half.

"It was probably a contentious penalty for our second goal. Having given the penalty, I thought the 'keeper might go or at least get a booking, not that anyone wants to see that but I think their penalty was contentious as well at the end so it evened itself out.

"Jaime Peters was magnificent for us when he came on at full-back and overall the lads were terrific, especially as they were playing under pressure because we were desperate for the win.

"I know they have performances in them like that, we just haven't seen enough of them but I'm delighted for the players and especially for the supporters."
