As ITFM reported yesterday, the club installed a 10% sell-on clause as part of striker Marcus Bent's transfer to Everton in August 2004.

The initial fee of his move to Charlton is £2Million, with Town getting £160,000 after profit has been taken into account.

It remains to be seen as to whether the Chairman will give the money to Royle to strengthen his squad in the January window or if it will go into the Club.

Royle is still on the look-out for a central defender and ITFM can reveal that attempts to bring Samuel and Huth from Aston Villa and Chelsea failed. Both players were involved in their respective Premiership matches last weekend.
