With McGreal missing Saturday's game with a calf strain, and Makin on the road to recovery after an operation, the last thing Joe Royle wanted was further injuries to his back line, but unfortunatley that's exactly what he has got.

Both Fabian Wilnis and Georges Santos were forced to be withdrawn at half time in Saturday's 1-1 draw away to Coventry with Shin and shoulder problems respectively.
