Town Draw Chelsea or Southend Away in Cup

Southend's Peter Clarke sensationally equalised in the dying seconds yesterday afternoon's third round tie to give Southend an unlikely draw against high-flying Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and now the replay on 14th January will dictate who Town face in the fourth round.

Elsewhere, the fourth round draw has thrown up two local derbies of Liverpool and Everton at Anfield, whilst Nottingham Forest will take on Derby County at Pride Park with Forest manager Billy Davies returning to his old club.

Last season's beaten finalists Cardiff City play host to Arsenal at Ninian Park, while holders Portsmouth will host Histon or Swansea City if they win a replay at Bristol City. Manchester United will take on Tottenham at home should they overcome Southampton this afternoon.

Non-league Torquay United have been drawn at home to Coventry City, while fellow Conference club Kettering Town will host Premier League Fulham. Should Blyth Spartans win against Blackburn tommorow, they will face Sunderland away in round four.

The Fourth Round ties will take place on the weekend of the 24th and 25th January 2009.
