Thatcher To Miss Final Two Games

Thatcher was forced off just before half time at Portman Road in the 3-2 win against Norwich and was replaced by Canadian Jaime Peters in the left back slot. The match was the first time Peters has appeared for Town this season.

Speaking of the extent of former Charlton defender Thatchers injury, Physio Matt Byard told the official club website: "Ben has had a partial rupture of the medial ligaments in his left knee.

"He will be seeing a specialist and will obviously miss what is left of the season. We will see what the specialist has to say but it's possible that Ben may need surgery."

With David Wright also ruled out for the rest of the season as reported last week, it's likely that Canadian international Jaime Peters will get the run in the side he revealed he was hoping for following Sunday's Derby.
