Keane told the club`s official website: "Tommy is playing games week in, week out and that is what going out on loan is all about.
"Sometimes a manager can be selfish and hold on to all his players but I like my players playing football.
"We`re happy for him to stay at Brentford but it wouldn't surprise me if he was back here soon, maybe over the next few weeks. We`ll see what happens."
