After being handed a year long contract at the beginning of 2005-06 season and then a contract extension til 2008, Sito was told by former boss Joe Royle that we was no longer needed at the Club.

The 26-year old had begun the season in good form making him in a hit with Town fans and earning himself a longer contract. However injury and a loss of form saw Sito lose his place in the first eleven.

Talking to the Club website new manager Jim Magilton commented:"A new manager means a new start for all the players, a clean slate and that includes Sito.

"He will be given every opportunity, like the other players, to show me what he can do and, if he matches the form that he showed when he first arrived at the club, he will be putting himself in the first team frame.

"He was terrific when he first arrived but his form dipped and he has to step up his game now and show the consistency that's needed. That's the challenge I've set him."
