MATCH PREVIEW

Ipswich have lost only one of their last six matches, and that defeat was against leaders QPR. They are second in the table and a win on Saturday would give them 17 points after eight games for the first time in 11 years - a sign of real progress for a side that had only four points at that stage of last season.

Their away form has been particularly encouraging for boss Roy Keane. Town are yet to lose on the road this term and have let in only two away goals. No Championship side have conceded fewer.

Tamas Priskin's 23rd-minute goal against Millwall in the Carling Cup in midweek was the first time Ipswich had scored in the first half of a game this season. In the league, they are still yet to score before the 50th minute.

Scunthorpe, who have not been Ipswich for over 50 years, have won one and drawn two matches since Ian Baraclough was placed at the helm following the recent departure of Nigel Adkins. The Iron have won two of their last four league games.
