Rumours of Discontent Grow at Portman Road

Yesterday former British Olympic chief Clegg issued a public backing of his manager, having initally given the Irishman a vote of confidence on Sunday night. Clegg clarrified that Keane would be in place for Saturday's game at Reading, but did not state Keane's future beyond the clash with the Royals.

According to the reports in the national press, a former director of the club was quoted as saying that there needs to be a change of management for the sake of the club: "Roy Keane is ruining the club. The mess he left at Sunderland has only just been cleared up."

Meanwhile further claims argue that Tony Loughlan, responsible for most training sessions at the club is providing somewhat tedious training drills for the squad and that most of the playing staff were less than impressed with Keane's recent 90 minute dressing room lock-in after the defeat to Watford.

Should Roy Keane be allowed to stay or should the club end his tenure at Portman Road? Vote in our poll on the front page right hand column near the bottom.
