Town have three Division One games in six days, Rotherham this weekend Brighton away next Tuesday and Watford at home on the Saturday after the under-20 fixture and boss Joe Royle is looking for the duo's release from international duty.
Royle said: "I would hate to hinder their international progress but it is an inopportune moment for them to be away.
"We have three games in six days and we need them. We are in talks with the FA to see what can be arranged."
