Richard Wright Crowned Fans Player of Year

Wright, who signed from West Ham on a free transfer at the start of the season also won the Players' Player of the Year award a fortnight ago, after some commanding performances throughout the season after a shaky inital start to his second spell at Portman Road.

Full back David Wright was runner-up of in the fans vote, whilst skipper and Northern Ireland international Gareth McAuley took third place in the award which was voted for on the Official Supporters Club Website and before today's game against Coventry City at Portman Road.

Defender David Wright was voted as the boxholders player of the year, Pim Balkestein as most improved player, Connor Wickham as academy player of the year and Jon Walters was awarded goal of the year for his strike against QPR at Loftus Road.
