Peters Hoping for Late Run

Peters came on just before the half time interval for the injured Ben Thatcher and played in an unfamiliar left back role due to the lack of defensive cover on the Town bench caused by the injuries to Gareth McAuley, David Wright and Moritz Volz.

Speaking to the Official Club Website of his re-emergence into the first team, Peters said: "It was great to be involved again and I was pleased with the way things went.

"It was the first time I played at left-back in a League game. The gaffer told me to go on and do my best and I think I did okay.

"Going on before half-time helped because it gave me a chance to get up with the pace of the game and I had a couple of runs down the wing which helped me settle into the match.

"I'd prefer to play on the wing but I'm happy to play wherever I'm asked. Now I just hope I get a chance to play in the last two games of the season.

"I've not been involved much this year and when you are not playing you do worry about your future but I've kept working hard and it's down to me to take my chance when it comes along."
