The Striker is on a basic wage of £12,000 per week at Portman Road and his four year contract at the club comes to an end next month with Town boss Joe Royle unlikely to keep the former Celta Vigo forward.

Speaking to the Ipswich Evening Star the Former Spanish Under 21 international said: "That contract is almost over and I wouldn't worry if my wages went down.

"But it is not all about money. I would not want to stay if the manager was not going to play me. I would need to feel a part of the club.

"That means I need to feel they want me here, especially the manager. I have desire for the club but I don't know if they feel the same about me.

"The supporters of this club have been wonderful to me and also the other players, but I need to be playing. That is the most important thing.

"I will have to have a chat with the manager and see what he wants from me. If he wants to make some changes and wants me to leave, I will go. It will be the end."
